Club Run - Pearcedale
Club Run - Pearcedale – A visit to Little Pebble Beach – Run by Geoff Shephard Victoria’s own Pebble Beach
Event Sunday September 21
Commencing 11:00am
Our Club has been invited to the Property of Andrew Simmons who is a dedicated car Collector and Jaguar XK 120 restorer.
Andrew over the last few years has converted a mushroom farm into his version of Pebble Beach, which includes a very nice Club House with amenities, putting green, and numerous pavilions which include various XK 120 Jaguars under restoration. The distance to the club house and parking is only 50 meters from Western Port Road and the road is a hard rolled gravel and dust/mud free. The Club house has some large tables, hot water, toilet facilities, and the event will be an all-weather event (don't worry about rain and cold as the Club House is warm) Andrew will give a tour of the pavilions of which one has the family, Silver Shadow.

Next Meeting Saturday 6th September
The Derby Works Garage is hosting a special visit for RROCA (Vic) members on Saturday, 6 September 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00, replacing the originally scheduled Sunday technical session. This event offers a unique opportunity to explore one of Melbourne's leading workshops dedicated to the repair, restoration, and maintenance of pre-war motorcars, including cars prepared for local and international events.
Event details and significance: The visit will showcase The Derby Works' expertise in maintaining classic motorcars and their role in preparing vehicles for events across Australia and worldwide, highlighting the advantage of having these skills locally.
Visitor guidelines: Attendees are reminded that Derby Works is a professional workshop, not a tourist site, and must adhere to rules such as no smoking, no dogs, no unauthorized photos, and appropriate dress, including proper footwear. Limited refreshments will be available, and the event will proceed regardless of weather.
Logistics and community respect: The Derby Works is located in a residential area near a Melbourne Water reservoir, with parking suggested along the reservoir kerb to avoid inconveniencing neighbours. Visitors should exercise caution when driving in the neighbourhood.
