Editor’s Report - May 2025

As I reflect on the last month, I remember a quote which I have used before, “The only constant in life is change” what we have seen locally and globally has highlighted this, however the speed at which change in our lives has happened is challenging every aspect of our lives.

It is surprising to see what one person can impose on a global society and the flow on ramifications are immense. What we know as a stable state is now challenged from many perspectives, what will it bring to us all is somewhat of an unknown still. However the fundamentals if economics means we will all be affected, it will bring lowered interest rates, cheaper fuel, lower value of exports, especially Iron Ore. We will also see in my opinion (Editorial rights) cheaper imports from China, the EU and Asia.

We have seen an active month of club events, however when I compile each Newsletter, I seem to see the same faces appearing in images of our events, it would be great to see others attending events. Please consider the benefits, meeting likeminded followers of the marques. A good time to seek advice on our treasured vehicles.

Finally many thanks to Larry Picker for his efforts in his role of Secretary, he was always willing to assist and provide guidance and his efficiency will be missed. All roles in the club are voluntary and often time consuming so please consider assisting in the future of our club.
