Editor’s Report - November 2023
After a great trip overseas where Lorraine and I walked the Camino de Santiago, and enjoyed other cities in Spain, the Spanish certainly have a great lifestyle, afternoon siesta, eating late and on Saturday we can testify they party hard! Unfortunately for us we had to try to sleep through the night then do a full day walk on the Sunday! A special thanks to Lewie Levy for producing the Newsletter while we were away.
When we arrived back in Singapore, we were shocked to see the Certificate of Entitlement (COE) to own a car had risen to record levels. The COE is just the start to own a car, allows you to own a car for 10 years, it is currently AUD 173,000, brings Australian car prices into perspective! A new Spectre currently without COE is AUD 2,468,000. A Toyota Corolla Altis is AUD 206,000.
This Newsletter is packed with some exciting events that were held recently and there are plenty more upcoming events that should be on the “Must Do” list. The Concours is just around the corner, get your PMC ready and make your entry count.
Last month we produced our last Black & White Newsletter, Our Sponsors Scotchmans Hill Winery will fund the difference to produce the Newsletter in colour. This will still be a shortened version but will cover all the relevant past and upcoming events. We will probably dedicate most of the space to the Concours.
Look forward to seeing you at one of the upcoming events.
