President’s Report - September 2022
September brings us to our AGM and I am pleased to report that the Victorian Branch of the Rolls-Royce Owners’ Club of Australia reaches this annual milestone as a vibrant organisation. Club membership has continued to grow over the past 12 months adding 8 new
members, bringing our total membership to 285. The club is in a sound financial position as evidenced by the statement of accounts in the Treasurer’s Annual Report and confirmed by the statement of review from the Finance Committee. Indeed, at a recent special general meeting we passed a resolution establishing the Finance Committee the function of which is to provide oversight and review of the club’s financial transactions and accounts. I believe this delivers our club membership with confidence in the integrity of the club’s financial reports.
I wish to extend my gratitude for the support and input from each and every member of the club Committee which continues to provide responsible leadership, good governance and efficient management of club activities and I wish to extend my thanks to each and every club member for your ongoing support of the club over the past year and to recognise each individual’s contribution to our collaborative club culture. The club is in a strong position moving forward to continue to provide a positive experience for all members.
This month we look forward with great anticipation to our annual Concours at Xavier College and next month at our general meeting
we will be having a party to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the 20 HP model. All 20 HP owners are invited to bring along their cars for pride of place display in the BAH car park.
Finally, with sadness we note the passing of club member Kevin Hindle on August 10 and wish to extend to Kevin’s family and friends our deepest condolences. Kevin was an enthusiastic and vibrant member of the club and will be sadly missed.
