Editor’s Report - February 2025

We are already a month into the New Year and as I have been told several times we are celebrating the best summer for some years. Some may go to the beach; others create the perfect charcuterie board with a glass of their favourite wine or even have a picnic! We can cater for all these in our Club, January has seen some perfect events already and we look forward to more of our members joining in the upcoming events.

This year will see some interesting developments on the Automotive Sector, my personal opinion is there could be significant changes in Ownership, Models and my favourite topic discussion on EV models, manufacturers lineups and future Battery Technology! Watch for discussion around Single Crystal Technology, and the future composite materials of batteries.

The Technical sessions held on Sunday mornings have always received outstanding support, a special note of thanks to Noel Baker who has coordinated these sessions for many years is stepping back but will still be involved, Thank you Noel, a new group will coordinate this session so please come on February 2nd to LGSI, details in the Newsletter.

To put a Newsletter together that is relevant and informative is a challenge so I seek feedback and articles that are of interest to members, I would like to see a restoration documented and published, I know a few members are starting on this journey so please consider this. If you have had an interesting problem that you have solved, please consider sharing.
