Editor’s Report - October 2022

We often discuss the merits of modern cars but looking back 100 years the advent of the 20Hp marked a significant era in the Rolls-Royce motorcar history. We recently celebrated the 20Hp at the Concours and the 20 Ghost Club are trekking to Mount Gambier on their National Tour in October, however before we will celebrate at our October meeting the true 100-year release date. I do recommend that you attend the October 6th meeting at Bill Allsep House, note we will start at 7:00pm as there will be a display before the meeting.

Our Club has a wealth of knowledgeable enthusiasts who are only too willing to share their knowledge to make caring and maintain your PMC please reach out and ask someone for advice they are only too willing to share. At the Concours I was speaking with Dr Ken King, and he is about to embark on a major engine issue, and he remarked that a few years ago he only ever did the basics now he has taken the next step with assistance of those with knowledge.

After being released from an extended lockdown please attend the Club meetings as I have noticed a decline in numbers, we do have an excellent range of topics coming up at our monthly meetings. Check the website and Newsletter and make the effort to come to meetings and club outings, you will be rewarded by some great speakers and excellent camaraderie.
