Editor’s Report - October 2023
Our Annual General Meeting was held recently and it saw some robust discussion at Bill Allsep House. I thought it was excellent to see how our members really are very passionate about our Club and are keen to see it be the best it can be. We also saw Brian Williams step down after serving ten years as Club Secretary — I would like to thank him for his long service and also wish his replacement Larry Picker all the best as he takes over. I know I speak on behalf of all members when I say we greatly appreciate the hard work of the Club committee and its appointments and delegates.
The Club’s social media pages have been running for three years now. They are one of the keys to increasing membership, especially when it comes to potential members in the younger demographics. If you are reading this in digital form, you can click or tap on the links at the bottom of the front cover — otherwise simply search “RROCA Victoria” on Facebook and Instagram. Feel free to ask me for assistance if you see me at an event. I encourage you and your friends and family to follow the pages and ‘like’ the posts to increase our online prominence and thus be seen by a larger audience of prospective enthusiasts. Furthermore, you can view additional photos that could not fit onto these pages!
Wayne is in Spain at the moment so he asked me to take over the newsletter editing this month. Both his notes and Samantha Rauber from Geelong Printworks have been very helpful in ensuring everything came together. I hope you enjoy reading it.
