President’s Report - November 2025
Greetings Everyone
Where has 2025 gone, November already and Christmas around the corner.
A big thank you to the committee for holding the fort whilst Cath and I travelled last month. We had a fabulous adventure and some was even Rolls-Royce related. In Manchester we visited the Science and Industry Museum where AX148 was on display and when in Manchester a true Rolls-Royce enthusiast must dine as Henry and Charles did at the Midland Hotel. Munich also provided us some PMC joy with a visit to BMW world where the Rolls-Royce Display entitled from Goodwood to Munich took pride of place. Catherine is certainly tolerant of my obsessions.
November brings us the premier event on the club calendar, our concours and display day. This year it will again be held in the fabulous setting of Cruden Farm, the home of the late Dame Elizabeth Murdoch. This is a Cruden Farm open day and therefore a fantastic chance for us promote our club and marques to the public and I would encourage everyone to put Sunday 16th November firmly on your calendar. It is a bring your own picnic event and in true club style there will be a prize for the most appropriate picnic setting. Our club will be in good as the Aston Martin club will also be hosting their concours in a different area on site.
The day isn’t always about pomp and pizzaz there is a serious element in the form of our annual club concours, again I would encourage you all to consider entering your car, it’s a great way to get up close and personal with your car and really get to know it well. To assist our technical session on November 2nd will be dedicated to preparation and judging so come along and find out how it’s all done.
Also, in November come along to our world famous (or infamous) RROCA Vic Trivia Night. Be entertained by Russell Rolls bringing you all things PMC and Keith Mortimer adding some refined insanity with all things popular culture, sport, music, film and otherwise bazaar to the mix. Big hints are to bring people from across the generations – this will give you the best chance of success and earn the title of trivia masters of 2025.
Finally, please get your bookings in for our Club Christmas lunch where our club and concours awards will be presented. Make your arrangements to be there on Tuesday December 2nd, further details within the newsletter.
Stay well and drive safe.
Keith Mortimer
